Cuts to recycling could save cash

Wiltshire Council wants to cut back the hours of the Household Recycling Centres and cut the number of recycling 'bring sites' around the county. This follows the successful introduction of kerbside collections of most recyclable materials.

Upper High Street - Knock It but Don't Block It

With local Conservatives urging residents to block the consultation on the future of Upper High Street, local Liberal Democrats are now fighting for the consultation to stay alive. Plans for Upper High Street, Depot Road and Church Street are in the second stage of consultation which ends on 13th July.

Farron calls on government on condemn actions of dairy processors

South Lakes MP, Tim Farron, has used questions to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in the House of Commons this morning to call on the Government to take immediate action to help dairy farmers, many of whom have been hit with a second unfair price cut in as many months.
