Bedfringe 2012 is in Full Swing, Bringing a Wide Range of Top Quality Performing Arts to Bedford
On Monday night I was at 'Bedfringe 6ix... Live!', a fantastic evening of music and comedy helping to get this year's 6th annual Bedfringe Festival off to a flying start. The festival got underway on Friday 13th July, and already there is a real buzz about the quality of performances taking place. It runs right through to 28th July, with a tremendous array of theatre, comedy, poetry, music, dance and more on offer, right here in Bedford across a number of venues. The festival has grown over the years since its inaugural year in 2007, and the high quality, wide range of performances on offer are a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved on the Bedfringe Team.

Folkestone & Sandgate Flooding Fear
The recent heavy rain in Folkestone and Sandgate has highlighted the shocking state of drain clearance throughout the area. Folkestone West County Councillor Tim Prater has demanded urgent action from Kent Highways after roads turned into raging rivers in places over the weekend.

Successful Winning Team Training Event
South Central Region held a very successful Winning Teams training event in Newbury on 14 July. Lots of members attended, both councillors and non councillors. The trainer for the day was ALDC Development Officer, Neil Fawcett who got the members ready for the 2013 and 2014 elections, as well as the police and crime commissioners election.
