Keith Scarff: Liberal Democrat Candidate for Stowmarket East
For the last 5 years I have been the County Councillor for Stowmarket South. Those of you that live in Combs Ford ward will also know me as a District Councillor and for over 27 years, a Town Councillor.
At this election, the area covered changes to include the Cedars Park area and I welcome the opportunity to represent you.
During my time as a County Councillor I have delivered Road Safety Schemes, such as the one at Combs Ford Primary School and also used my locality budget to deliver pot hole repairs.
I ask for your support in this election - lend me your vote on the 7th of May. This is a crucial election at a time of great change to local government in Suffolk. Please, use your vote - I pledge to continue working hard for Stowmarket Communities.
Only the Lib Dems can beat Reform and the Conservatives here
There are over 3,200 Liberal Democrat councillors in the UK running over 74 councils under majority control or in coalition. We are proud of our reputation for sound governance and delivery of high quality and efficient services.
More than 13 million people benefit from the hard work and dedication we provide and with accountability for over £17 billion of public funds - we take our responsibilities very seriously.
The Liberal Democrats have a POSITIVE PLAN for Suffolk
Investing in our communities
After years of Conservative control across Suffolk, what have we got to show for it?
Roads full of pot holesRoads full of pot holes
Local services underfunded
SEND in crisis
The Liberal Democrats have a positive plan for Suffolk. We will demand that Suffolk has fair funding from government. We cannot continue to be the poor relation left behind
Developers and infrastructure
The Liberal Democrats will work to ensure that developers stick to agreements made. Too often when developments take place the lack of joined-up-thinking is obvious. We need a balanced approach to new housing, ensuring good housing design with adequate access to Doctors Surgeries and other facilities for residents of all ages.
Pot holes and roads
Suffolk roads are crumbling. The number of pot holes reported is increasing.
I have campaigned for action in the Town Centre and I am pleased to report a programme of paving slab repairs will take place in the next few months.
