Proposed Esso startion

New petrol station proposed for Tettenhall Road

Claire Darke, Liberal Democrat Candidate for Park Ward in May's local council elections, has welcomed the proposal for the re-opening a petrol station on Tettenhall Road near the Newbridge Inn. Since the former Esso petrol station closed more than two years ago residents of Clark Road, Larches Lane, Haden Hill and other roads feeding into Tettenhall Road have suffered from traffic backing up due to the over use of the existing Shell station at the corner of Clarke Road.

South East Lib Dems Back Gurkha Justice Campaign

South East Region Liberal Democrats have backed a motion adding their strong support to the Gurkha Justice campaign call for a fair deal for all Gurkhas on residence and pensions. The conference in Ashford on Saturday 30th March backed the motion, which was supported by ex-Gurkha Folkestone Town Councillor Dhan Gurung who spoke in favour of the motion.

Pothole campaign gains national attention

The Lib Dem campaign to persuade Essex County Council to repair more potholes has reached the attention of the national press. The Sunday Times sent a photographer down to Chelmsford to meet with local Lib Dem campaigner Stephen Robinson and photograph some of the many potholes in the Kings Road area. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article3646291.ece
