‘Current Broadband plans seriously unambitious’ says Farron
Speaking in a Commons debate, South Lakes MP Tim Farron praised Broadband campaigners in the Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency, and said that Government plans to get 2 Mb/s broadband to everyone across the country by 2015 are seriously unambitious.

Sandgate Bathing Water Quality Tests - May 4th and 18th
Regular water quality tests on Sandgate beach, Kent, carried out by the Environment Agency to check compliance with standards set in the Bathing Water Directive showed that on both 4th and 18th May that the water had 'Two thumbs up' - water quality in the sample met the Directive's most stringent Guideline standards.

Tea party to celebrate Buckingham Constituency success
Buckingham Constituency really bucked the national trend in last week's elections to Aylesbury Vale District Council. Not only did we retain our two sitting candidates - Cory Cashman and Avril Davies - but we also returned two new councillors - Llew Monger for Winslow and David Vick for Waddesdon. Unfortunately because we were unable to find a candidate for the Wycombe district wards we let the independents and conservative have a free reign. We will be working hard to resolve this issue in time for the county elections in 2013.
