Lib Dems slam cabinet move
Brentwood Liberal Democrat councillors have slammed Conservative plans to change to a cabinet system of local government on Brentwood Borough Council. They reacted angrily to the news when it was announced as an urgent item of business at Wednesday's Policy Panel meeting (18/6/08).

Tackling Dangerous Car Event
The Police working with the Council were able to thwart a car 'Cruise' Event at Hedge End. The joint operation involved officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods team from Hedge End, the Roads Policing Unit from Totton and the Environmental Health team from Eastleigh Borough Council.

Cllr Fraser Macpherson, Liberal Democrat City Council Group Leader and councillor for the West End today (Saturday 21st June) launched FOCUS Edition 64 for residents in the area served by Lochee Road Post Office. This follows a similar FOCUS newsletter for residents in the area of Nethergate Post Office.

Liberal Democrats have called into question the timing of the new Park & Ride contract for Ipswich. The contract, which sees First Eastern Buses take over from the locally run Ipswich Buses, comes at a time when the future of the County Council is still to be decided.
