Support HMS Wolverhampton

A petition has been set up at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/HMSWolverhampton/ to try and get a ship named HMS Wolverhampton - Wolverhampton is the largest city never to have had this honour (and only one of 5 cities in the UK not to have had the honour). Colin Ross, Chair of Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats said "This campaign has my full support, I have already signed the petition and tried to bring the issue up at BBC's Question Time when it was recently filmed in the city."

Lib Dems Object to Marston Eco-Town

Responding to the Government's Consultation on Eco-Towns, Bedford Borough Lib Dems have objected to the proposed development for the Northern Marston Vale. The submission also calls for all new housing developments to be built to high standards of environmental sustainability, and not just a select few eco-towns.

Wedding Congratulations

Stockton Liberal Democrats are delighted that Councillor Julia Roberts today married Preston Parish Councillor Mike Cherrett. Mike was formerly the Borough Councillor for Preston Ward then Eaglescliffe Ward, retiring last year. Julia continues to represent Bishopsgarth and Elmtree ward.
