Shepway Lib Dem campaigner Peter Carroll has asked the Environment Agency to prosecute Southern Water for failing to install Mains Drainage in the town of New Romney, Kent. Over 600 properties are still without mains drainage despite decades of promises. A recently proposed scheme is still not underway after nearly 3 years.
Shepway Lib Dem campaigner Peter Carroll is campaigning for action to help residents who live along the A259 in the Folkestone & Hythe area. The A259 was successfully 'de-trunked' on 30 September this year when responsibility for the road passed from the Highways Agency to Kent County Council.

Epsom & Ewell's RA led Council rejected a motion proposed by the Lib Dems that a letter should be sent to the deputy prime minister John Prescott in support of replacing Council Tax with a system based upon ability to pay.
Epsom and Ewell RA councillors continued to reject a Lib Dem plan to allow questions from local residents at meetings of the Borough Council. This is despite the success of "public question time" at Surrey County Council's Local Committee.
