Jo Lucey Selected as the Liberal Democrat County Council Candidate for Rickmansworth East & Oxhey Park Division.
Jo Lucey is new to politics - but not new to the area. She has lived in Rickmansworth for most of her life and is making a name for herself in the fields of ethnomusicology, sound engineering and as a radio host. She is an accomplished musician, composes her own works and is skilled as a luthier i.e. someone who makes or repairs stringed instruments, e.g. guitars, violins or (originally) lutes. Jo's political motivation arises from her social experiences. She passionately believes that everyone should have the opportunities to develop themselves, their skills and their lives to the full. Where accident, illness or other disadvantages reduce people's life chances society should find practical ways to give them a helping hand.
