Go Ape are coming to Itchen Valley

Treetop operator "Go Ape" have gained approval from the Hedge End, West End and Botley Local Area Committee to build a course in amongst the trees close to the play area at Itchen Valley Country Park. You may have seen some of the publicity on the local news and in local papers.

Government U-turn On Proposals To Take £15 From Poorest Families

The Government today made a U-turn over plans that could have left low-income families £780 a year worse off. Proposed changes to the Local Housing Allowance (LHA), which would have meant some of the poorest families in the country losing up to 20% of their income, have been scrapped in today's Pre-Budget Report.

Stamp Duty Blow For First Time Buyers

The decision by the Chancellor's not to extend the stamp duty holiday on lower-value homes was a "bitter blow" for first-time buyers, Heather Kidd has said. She added "What green shoots there may in the housing industry are being threatened by this."
