Rickmansworth: This weeks e-news from the Liberal Democrats
Food Hygiene Assessments: Since 2008 Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) has given food businesses a rating of 0-5 stars depending on the results of hygiene inspections. These inspections include how food is prepared, cooked, cooled, stored and displayed. The structure and equipment used is checked - whether it is clean, suitable, properly maintained. This covers layout, lighting and ventilation. Does the business understand what must be done to ensure food safety ? Are the necessary precautions part of the routine and are records kept ?

Childcare - a Liberal Democrat Priority
Thanks to Liberal Democrats in Government, from last week, 130,000 two-year olds from the poorest homes will be eligible for 15 hours of free childcare a week with a nursery or childminder.

Today is Human Rights Day . December 10th The anniversary of the day the UN adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. It was incorporated into UK law by the Human Rights Act. It is ironic that in the very year we have been celebrating the sealing of Magna Carta the Human Rights legacy has come under attack. We must be vigilant.
