Liberal Democrat Park Ward Councillor Robin Lawrence said "Real change is needed in Britain to address the many problems facing ordinary people and families. Deportation to States which Persecute on the Grounds of Sexuality and Gender Identity
Liberal Democrat Conference yesterday evening discussed how there have been a number of recent cases in which lesbians and gay men and bisexuals have been deported or threatened with deportation to countries, including Iran and Nigeria, where homosexuality is treated as a crime punishable by sentences including the death penalty.
