Mayor Dave Hodgson Welcomes new Sainsbury's Distribution Centre
Mayor of Bedford Borough Dave Hodgson has welcomed the news that Sainsbury's will open a major regional distribution centre at Marsh Leys Industrial Park in Kempston. In a major boost for the local economy, around 300 new jobs will be created at the centre, which sees Sainsbury's occupy the site vacated by Woolworths last year.

Lib Dem councillors raise concerns over Burpham Court Farm proposals
Liberal Democrat councillors have voiced their deep concern over Guildford Borough Council's proposal to divide up land and buildings at Burpham Court Farm with the view to letting the farm land and outbuildings, and selling off the farmhouse and cottages on the open market. The plans are part of a report to be given at the Council Executive meeting on 28th January at Millmead.
