Heather Kidd, Shropshire Councillor for Chribury and Worthen Division has been re-elected for another four year term. She polled 1012 votes compared with 233 for her opponent. At 81.29% of the vote it was one of the highest % wins registered in the UK. Heather said "Many, many thanks to everyone who supported me on the day. It is an honour and a privilege to represent our beautiful part of Shropshire.
Your High Peak Liberal Democrat candidates for the 2013 Derbyshire County Council Elections thank you for your support and your votes! We have had relative success in the elections holding both of our seats, with Elizabeth Atkins holding her New Mills seat and David Lomax being succesful in his bid to take over from Barrie Taylor (who stood down after many years of fantastic service) as County Councillor for Whaley Bridge. Julia Cambridge has been out supporting the Save Our Leisure Centre campaign group headed by Alan Maris as they handed over their residents petition at the Town Hall. Alan Maris handed in a petition containing over 3,200 local signatures. The group still need as many people as possible to still sign and support the petition and ask anyone interested in doing so to click and sign!
