Bulkington garage conversion approved by planners

An application to change a garage at Tudor Cottage on Bulkington's High Street went to the planning committee on March 28th. Despite objections from the parish council, which was concerned about the effect of the rebuilding of the garage on the street scene, the scheme was permitted by a majority vote. The building was described as a 'studio', and a condition was included ensuring it remains as part of Tudor Cottage and can't be sold off as separate accomodation.

Wiltshire bids for Pickles Rubbish cash

On 3 February Communities and Local Government Minister Eric Pickles invited councils to bid for money from a fund allocated to support weekly waste collections. The scheme is worth up to £250 million. Three types of waste collection are eligible for funding. They are

Wallace Fields Admissions Criteria 2013 - update

Following discussions yesterday with local councillors and head teachers about a number of matters that have come to his attention subsequent to the Cabinet meeting on 28 February, particularly concerning the effect on Ewell Grove Infants School, Cllr Tim Hall the Cabinet Member for Children and Learning tabled an amendment at this morning's Council meeting.
