Make sure you are registered to vote!
If the General Election is called for 5th May, which is what all the commentators expect, only people on the electoral roll by 11 March will be able to vote. That means there is just one month left to register.

Robinson attends his first meeting of the Lib Dem Parliamentary Party
West Chelmsford's Liberal Democrat candidate Stephen Robinson last week attended his first meeting of the Lib Dem Parliamentary Party. Mr Robinson was invited to attend the weekly meeting as part of a programme of inviting candidates who have a good chance of winning at the coming General Election.

Gill Calls for Reduction on VAT on Contraceptives Ahead of Awareness Week
Ahead of Contraceptive Awareness Week, which begins next week on Monday 14th February, Parmjit Singh Gill MP has given his support to a Parliamentary campaign calling for a reduction in the VAT on over-the-counter contraceptives, such as condoms. Parmjit has called for the reduction in VAT charged on condoms to be reduced from the current level of 17.5% to 5%.
