Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Sunday 29th October) welcomed news that every Liberal Democrat run Council in the UK has signed up to a campaign to end the practice of looked after young people having to transport their personal possessions between foster placements in black bin bags.

Essex Conservatives don't sign up to "go green"

Conservatives in Essex are reluctant to sign up to the green agenda. On 10 October the Essex County Council ruling group initially refused to accept a motion calling on the council to sign the Nottingham Declaration which commits the council to action on climate change. The Tories also failed to commit to publishing an action plan, within a year, stating their proposals for dealing with climate change and cutting CO2 emissions.

Green Tax Switch Week comes to Eastleigh

As reported earlier in the year the one part of the Liberal Democrat plans to tackle Climate Change is to use the tax system to switch taxation from income and on to pollution. In the past week Liberal Democrats across the country have been taking the message on Climate Change and the Green Tax Switch to streets and shopping centres.

Peterborough: City Lib Dems demand answers on exclusion from Planning

According to sources, the Queens Counsel has now confirmed the Tory administrations decision to exclude Lib Dems from the Councils planning committee was incorrect. Now, Cllr John Crane tells us he awaits answers to his questions regarding the cost of conferring and in relation to the legality of planning decisions made, during which there was no Lib Dem representation:
