STOCKTON BUDGET NEWS

At tonight's budget meeting at Stockton Council, Liberal Democrats, along with Ingleby Barwick and Thornaby Independents and the Tories, proposed changes in the Labour budget. These changes would put money into an out-of-hours noise service, and services dealing with homelessness & domestic violence, stray dogs and wild horses.

WOKING LIBDEMS HOLD COUNCIL TAX RISE TO INFLATION

The Liberal Democrat Budget, with a Council Tax increase of 4.4% (less than the Conservative administration last year, and only just above inflation), was passed by Woking Council on Thursday 22 February by 18 LibDem votes to 13 Tories. One Tory (Cllr Val Tinney) and the three Labour Councillors

New cash point in Trent Road following Lib Dem campaign

Residents of a Chelmsford estate are celebrating the news that HSBC Bank are to provide a free cash machine at their local shopping parade. They will install the machine on the site of the existing telephone kiosk in Trent Road, following action by local Lib Dem Councillor Simon Jones.
