More Liberal Democrat Successes for Chesterfield

By pure co-incidence, the Confederation of Passenger Transport's Coach Friendly Award, launched in 2003 - which was designed to recognise and reward the efforts of towns and cities which encourage and accommodate coach tourism - happened at the same time as when the green friendly Liberal Democrats last took control of Chesterfield Borough Council.

Masterplan published for massive housing scheme in Warminster

Persimmon Homes have submitted an outline application to build 1200 houses, plus 6 hectares of employment land,a primary school, a local centre and a link road on the western side of Warminster. If it gets the go-ahead the development will fill the space between Bath Road, Victoria Road and the bypass.

More consultation needed on licenses - Cllr Bill Crooks

A music license (for concerts) has been granted to Gopsall Hall Farm near to the small hamlet of Bilstone, in Hinckley and Bosworth. The licence is for up to 200 people in the first year to attend concerts and if the concert is successful the licence would then advance for up to 5000 people over a four year period. The application asked for up to 6 events a year.
