Woking Travel Centre

Following complaints from many local residents (including his wife!), LibDem Deputy Group Leader Cllr Philip Goldenberg insisted that the Council press Woking Station to keep their Travel Centre open at published hours for the benefit of both local residents and South West Trains' own staff.

Dundee LibDems welcome cross-party co-operation on climate change

Dundee Liberal Democrats have welcomed the news that five political parties have signed up to a joint agreement on the need to tackle climate change together. The Liberal Democrats, the Tories, Scottish Nationalists, Plaid Cymru and the DUP have put aside party differences to develop policies on "the most serious threat we face". The Labour Party was invited to join in this campaign, but has so far declined to do so.

Dundee LibDems help at Dunfermline parliamentary campaign

Led by Raymond Lawrie, Dundee Liberal Democrat local party convener, Dundee LibDems, including Dundee City Council Group Leader Cllr Fraser Macpherson and local LibDem student representative Iqbal Mohammad, spent today (Saturday 28th January 2006) campaigning in Dunfermline & West Fife for Willie Rennie, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for the by-election taking place on 9th February.
