Folkestone Primary Academy - Winners of the 2010 Folkestone Councillors' Football Cup
Folkestone Academy Primary School were the winners of the 2010 Folkestone Councillors' Cup football tournament held on Wednesday 3rd November. The football competition held The Stadium, Church Road, Cheriton, is organised by Cheriton Councillor Dhan Gurung, funded by Folkestone Town Council and supported by Charlton Athletic Community Support who provide coaches and referees for the day. Teams from Folkestone Primary Academy, Stella Maris, Morehall, Harcourt, Cheriton and St Martins in Folkestone were all taking part.

Temporary Road Closure of Caesar's Way, Folkestone from 19 November 2010
Kent Highway Services have advised that it will It will be necessary to close Caesar's Way, Cheriton, Folkestone on or after 19 November 2010 for up to 1 day. The road will be closed from the junction with Biggins Wood Road, to enable carriageway repairs and resurfacing to be carried out.

Opposition to banqueting suite plans continues
A planning application for a huge banqueting suite on the land to the rear of Hilton Road, bordering Monmore Grange was made. The Springvale Focus Team and local residents sprang quickly into action. Cllr Mike Heap said, "We rapidly organised an information leaflet and petition to the neighbouring houses which people could bring to Hilton Hall. This attracted hundreds of signatures and individuals also wrote letters of objection."
