The 2008 elections in Wolverhampton saw the once dominant Labour Party ousted from power leaving the City Council with no over all control. Labour are still the largest group (28) to the Conservatives' 27 and Lib Dem's 5. Lib Dem Group Leader, Cllr Mike Heap has been besieged with phone calls from both Labour and Conservative councillors asking him to do a deal. He has given them all the same answer - NO.
