Conference today noted that despite pressure from MPs, campaign groups and the media, the Government refuses to set up a full public inquiry into allegations that the UK Government had a policy between 2002 and 2005 that permitted British Intelligence Services to act in ways that may have given rise to complicity in torture and illegal abduction.
Following the revelations earlier in the year about Parliamentary expenses the Liberal Democrats today debated the way forward at conference.
