Action on danger junction
Liberal Democrat Councillors in Springvale received complaints of cars failing to stop at the bottom of Woodcross Lane at its junction with Ettingshall Road. The latest incident was of a car running into the front wall of a resident opposite the junction and this follows similar earlier accidents. Cllr Malcolm Gwinnett met with officers on site early in January and a number of things are going to be done:

A representative for Paul Rowen MP was marched out of a public conference because he asked the speaker if he could read out a speech.

Heywood Councillor leads the way on Facebook!
Heywood North Councillor Peter Rush can count on over 400 'friends' after embracing popular social networking site 'Facebook.' Councillor Rush, who represents Heywood North, is now linked up with well over 300 Heywood residents. He has already been dealing with numerous complaints and claims that this is another 'effective new way of serving the people of Heywood.'
