We can now dispose of food waste in plastic bags into the food pods. The recycling plant has confirmed they can deal with this. We can also still use compostable liners, newspaper and corn starch bags. Loose food is accepted but not black bags. The Hydro Power Facility at the Boatslide Weir Bridge on the River Great Ouse in Bedford has exceeded income generation expectations for 2014. When the facility was opened in 2012 the estimated income generation was £32,000.
