After many years the Council finally has new powers to penalise inappropriate or incorrect parking.
Work is due to take place to replace the steps leading from the Water of Leith pathway up to the corner of Magdala Crescent/Douglas Crescent.
Towards the end of last year the long awaited pavement “build out” was installed on the entrance to Orchard Drive.
For many years there has been concerns about the safety of what is known as Farmer’s Junction at the top of Strachan Road as presently it is very difficult to access this junction safely as a pedestrian.
The enforcement of the ban on pavement parking by a small team of Parking Attendant began at the end of January.
