Fury as dumping continues
Zahid Shah and Cllr Robin Lawrence were furious to discover that the illegal fly tippers were now dumping their rubbish on the road. Robin said "CCTV cameras have already caught a number of fly tippers who have been taken to court. Sadly it's not enough as there are people with no conscience and care nothing for other people."

Zahid Shah calls for action on Jones Road signs
Local residents in the Jones Road area of St Peter's Ward have contacted the Liberal Democrats with concerns about lorries driving down South Street and turning left into Jones Road in error.

New Renewable Technology championed by Lib Dem PPC
On 23rd June the Home Renewable Energy Grant was put to the Sustainable Development Panel. This grant as worded would have restricted the Grant to only two technologies: Solar hot water and heat pumps. Both are commendable technologies but the cost of solar hot water had dropped by a third in recent years and hardly needs additional incentives.

New Survey throws doubt on local Conservatives' Alternate Bin Collections
