Park Ward's Liberal Democrat councillor, Robin Lawrence has alerted residents about a planning application that has been put in to the Council. It concerns the derelict house at 202 Coleman Street. The people applying want to clear the site completely and build a three storey block of eleven flats with 14 parking spaces. The plan includes the waste land and old buildings by No. 204 and the site extends as far back as Tring Court.

Leaders of the G8 nations have agreed to a compromise deal on tackling climate change, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said. Reports said the leaders had agreed to hold talks on a replacement to the Kyoto Protocol within a UN framework. The G8 today agreed to 'discuss' targets to cut emissions by 50% by 2050.
