Central Ward Councillor - Khalid Mahmood is calling on Rochdale Council to "get its house in order" following dozens of complaints about the new "temporary" traffic lights on the junction of Drake Street and Water Street. Speaking at last week's Council Meeting - Cllr. Mahmood told of his frustration after his Central Ward Colleagues were not invited to contribute to the debate on this road closure.

Many local residents have raised the issue of mini motorbikes being used on roads, pavements and in other places that cause disturbance and are dangerous to others. Although marketed as 'toys', mini motos can reach speeds of up to 60mph and there have been fatalities and serious injury as a result of accidents.
