South Lakes MP, Tim Farron, is calling for the Rural Fuel Duty scheme which is to be piloted in the Scottish Highlands and remote Islands to be rolled out in England and, in particular the Lake District.

The much anticipated 'Narrow the Gap' conference took place on Thursday 18th November, at the Robinson Executive Centre, Wyboston Lakes. Head teachers from across the borough were invited to consider strategies that are proving effective in narrowing attainment gaps for children eligible for free school meals.

Vauxhall Concierge Services safe says Webber
Thanks to the determination of local Liberal Democrat campaigner Jonathan Webber and Councillor Robin Lawrence, the concierge service at Park Ward's Vauxhall Estate has been saved. It had been feared that the service might have to be axed because of cuts forced on Wolverhampton due to the previous Labour Government's reckless financial mismanagement.
