Farron hails move to make government more rural friendly

Following an announcement this morning by Environment Minister, Richard Benyon, about the introduction of a new "hotline to the heart of Government" for rural communities through the new Rural and Farming Network, Cumbrian MP Tim Farron, has welcomed the move to make government policies more rural-friendly.

WATER BUTT OFFER FROM COUNCIL DURING DROUGHT

The Environment Agency has declared that most of the South East and Eastern England is in an official state of drought after 15 months of below average rainfall. Around 25% of a household's energy bill is from heating the water that is used during showering, washing clothes and dishwashing, so by using water more efficiently and cutting out waste and unnecessary use, you can conserve water, save energy and money on your bills.
