Dundee Liberal Democrats today (Friday 12th September) backed calls by North East LibDem MSP Alison McInnes, who has contacted the owners of Radio Tay after plans emerged for standardising evening and overnight broadcasts across seven Scottish stations.
Zöe Franklin is the new Liberal Democrat councilor for Stoke ward after being elected on Thursday. Zöe won with an increased share of the vote (56%) and an increased majority (454).

This afternoon the Liberal Democrats discussed Europe. They noted that whilst the EU has achieved a great deal in the last 50 years it needs to do more to put its own house in order to focus better on its core objectives and realise its full potential.
This morning the Liberal Democrats debated the motion Fast Track Britain: Building a Transport System for the 21st Century. Park Ward Councillor Robin Lawrence said "The Liberal Democrats are committed to providing a transport system for the UK which meets the twin challenges of reducing the use of carbon and increasing capacity.
