New site for War Memorial

Whitehall Liberal Democrat Councillors are looking for a new site for the War Memorial saved from outside the former Park Rd. Church, Bolton Rd. Darwen.

Visit to Totnes Fire Brigade

Totnes Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson, Mike Treleaven will be visiting Totnes Fire Brigade at 6.30p.m.on Thursday February 12th. He will be shown around the fire station before travelling to Glendale Farm at Dartington where the brigade will be taking part in a search and rescue exercise on a residential property. Two fire engines and a command vehicle will be involved.

Epsom & Ewell Liberal Democrats discovered on 29th January 2004 that a Developer was marketing plots of land in Banstead Road, East Ewell, on the Internet. They were advertised as suitable for house building, despite the fact that the site lies in the metropolitan Green Belt.

Council Savings Heading for the Dustbin

Plans to reduce the level of council tax in the borough by 4% were kicked into touch last week following the decision to abandon Lib Dem plans to cut the council tax level, bring back a number of key services and increase the amount of affordable housing in the borough.
