Sport Relief 2012 Warm Up

Thank You - Our Sport Relief 2012 Total is £1129

Thank you to all our sponsors who might like to look at the videos and photos of our participation in Sport Relief 2012. Nonsuch Park was oversubscribed (a limit of 1500 taking part in the Sport Relief Mile was set, but capacity probably needs to increase to 2000 next time). A sunny day and excellent stewarding by volunteers from Epsom & Ewell Borough Council created a splendid event once again.

Chris Bramall & June Collins next to Carlisle Hall

A heart felt letter from a Stourbridge resident . . .

Thanks, Liz Lynne! How one woman can make a difference.

Chris Bramall writes: Liz Lynne, the West Midland Region's brilliant Lib-Dem Member of the European Parliament is stepping down. For 12½ years Liz has worked tirelessly for the people of her huge constituency, and has shown how one dedicated woman can make a difference even at European level. Many will remember Liz's campaign on behalf of British beef, and her years of work for tougher laws to reduce the huge toll of needlestick injuries to medical staff. She has won a long battle to prevent MRI scanners in hospitals being banned through daft "safety" rules. Liz's latest campaign has been for a Europe-wide code of conduct to stop the abuse of elderly people in care homes. And Liz was happy to come knocking on doors in Stourbridge, and to greet shoppers in Stourbridge town centre. Many thanks, Liz.
